Grill Cleaning Tips

Very few things rival the goodness of a home-grilled meal. The more you grill the more important it is to keep it clean. Here are some basic tips to keep your BBQ in top shape.

Tip #1

Make sure your surface is up to your desired temp before putting food on it. This will help prevent any food debris from sticking to it.

Tip #2

Grilling spray is key. Before you turn on the grill, liberally spray PAM® Grilling Spray on your grill to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup. It’s formulated for a high-heat grilling.

Tip #3

Have a good long-handled bbq brush on hand—ones with a replaceable head last longest. In a pinch, a piece of balled up aluminum foil works. Be sure to hold it with your tongs.

Tip #4

Hit it with a light coat of PAM® Grilling Spray after you’ve brushed the grates clean to keep the surface rust-free. This is the real trick—using PAM® before and after you grill makes the surface non-stick while you cook and cleanup a breeze when you’re finished

Tip #5

Don’t forget the outside of the grill too. Grill cleaning spray or a soft cloth with dish soap and water are great for keeping it clean.
