Ingredients
- 1 can (398 mL) Hunts Heirloom® Diced Tomatoes
- 12 oz (375 g) penne
- 1 pkg (8.8 oz/250 g) Gardein™ Mini Crispy Crabless Cakes
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) red chili flakes
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh basil
- 1 tsp (5 mL) lemon zest
- 4 lemon wedges, for serving
Directions

Step one
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/3 cup (75 mL) cooking liquid.

Meanwhile, prepare Crabless Cakes according to package directions; set aside.

Heat oil in large skillet set over medium heat; cook garlic, chili flakes and oregano for 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant. Stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened.

Step four
Add pasta and reserved cooking liquid to skillet; toss until pasta is well coated. Stir in basil.

Step five
Divide among 4 plates. Top with Crabless Cakes and sprinkle with lemon zest. Serve with lemon wedges.
Tips
Substitute spaghetti for penne if desired.
