Prepare Orville Redenbacher® Butter Microwave Popcorn according to package directions. Divide popcorn among four bowls. Toss one bowl of popcorn with melted yellow candy melts until well coated. Arrange on large parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining popcorn and purple, green and pink candy melts. Let stand until candy melts are set. Break into pieces; toss together.
Prepare Duncan Hines® Confetti Cake Mix according to package directions in two 9-inch (23 cm) cake pans. Let cool completely on rack.
Place one cake layer on serving plate; spread top with generous 1/2 cup (125 mL) frosting. Top with second cake layer and spread remaining frosting over top and sides of cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Garnish with coloured popcorn and serve cake with any remaining popcorn.
Alternatively, bake cake batter in muffin cups to make cupcakes.
