Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease three 33 x 23-cm rimmed baking sheets and line with parchment paper.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Divide batter evenly among baking sheets and flatten tops. Sprinkle 125 mL white chocolate chips over each sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until cakes spring back when touched in centre. Let cool completely.
Transfer 1 cake layer to platter. Frost with a thin layer of vanilla frosting. Repeat with second cake layer and more vanilla frosting. Top with third cake layer and frost top and sides of cake.
Using box grater over plate, shave white chocolate almond bark. Gently press shavings onto sides of cake.
Fill resealable freezer bag with chocolate frosting. Pipe “Happy Birthday” on top of cake and insert candles.
