Ingredients
- 1 box Duncan Hines Golden Yellow Cake Mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup (250 mL) water
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) vegetable oil
- 2 tubs (450 g each) Duncan Hines Buttercream Frosting
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) prepared caramel sauce
- PAM® Orignal Spray
- Optional: Gingerbread men
Directions

Step one
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease three 9-inch (23 cm) cake pans with PAM cooking spray; set aside.

Step two
Blend cake mix, eggs, water and vegetable oil. Divide batter among prepared cake pans. Bake for 23 to 28 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean; let cool completely.

Step three
Spread buttercream evenly between each layer of cake, making 3 layers. Spread remaining buttercream over entire cake.

Step four
Pour caramel sauce over top; let run downside of cake.

Step five
Decorate with your favourite Christmas toppings such as gingerbread men.
