Ingredients
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) canola oil
- 1 lb (500 g) chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 4 tsp (20 mL) garlic chili paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lb (250 g) green beans, trimmed
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 jar (341 mL) VH® Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sauce
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) torn fresh Thai basil leaves, divided
- 16 large lettuce leaves
Directions
-
Step one
Heat oil in wok or large skillet set over medium-high heat; cook chicken, garlic chili paste and garlic for 5 to 8 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
-
Step two
Stir in green beans and sliced onion; cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until green beans are slightly softened. Add VH® Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sauce and 1/4 cup (60 mL) Thai basil; bring to boil. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until green beans are just tender. Assemble in lettuce leaves with remaining basil.
Tips
• Substitute regular Italian basil for Thai basil if desired.
• Alternatively, serve stir-fry over jasmine rice or rice noodles. Serve any leftovers on a salad for a quick grab-and-go lunch.
